The Marshall JMP 2203 Mk2 Master Model Lead 100-Watt head is one of the classic late 1970s master volume designs that helped define hard rock and early metal tones. This 1979 example in black Tolex delivers the familiar roar, with plenty of headroom and the ability to push the preamp into rich, harmonically complex overdrive at more manageable stage and studio volumes.
This unit is in good overall condition with clear signs of cosmetic wear from use and age. There are two plugged holes in the back panel, various scrapes and tears in the Tolex, and some of the front piping is missing. Despite the cosmetics it remains a solid vintage workhorse and a great way to get into the classic JMP master volume sound.
