Vintage Jackson "Scoundrel" in Carved Scoundrel Skull finish made for NAMM in 1987 with Original Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a solid poplar body, quartersawn maple neck-thru and bound ebony fingerboard. Equipped with a Jackson J-50B in the bridge position. Controlled by one master volume pots and a 2-way mini toggle kill switch. The 25.5" scale length neck has mother of pearl sharkfin inlays, mother of pearl side markers with 22 vintage frets on a compound 16" radius with a fat neck profile. The hardware is comprised of black Gotoh Sealed Die-Cast tuning machines with cloche heads, a graphite with string lock nut, a Kahler Tremolo bridge and black knurled dome knobs.
From what we were told about this Guitar it was built for NAMM 1987 and was inspired by Slashes Skull from the Appetite For Destruction Album cover. It started it‘s life as a rhoads at the factory and the story that was told to us is Slash played it at NAMM along with The Guys from LA Guns and Various artists whole all signed the instrument after playing it, However, it is hard to make out the signatures and authenticate them or the story. The "In The Pink" Script on the back was added later and signed by the artist "Peacox" & dated 1991.
This guitar is in overall very good condition with some visible signs of play. It has surface marks, some scratches, finish splits and few finish chips. Original Case has "Scoundrel" Painted on the lid. (See Pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 9-42 strings. Includes Original Hard Shell Case.
