Vintage Gretsch 6120 Chet Atkins in Orange finish made in 1959 with Gator Hardshell Case. This guitar features a hollow double-bound laminated maple back & sides body with a laminated maple top, 2-piece maple neck w/stringer and bound ebony fingerboard with a bound headstock. Equipped with its original set of Gretsch PAF Filter'Tron humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions. Controlled by master volume, neck volume, and bridge volume pots with a 3-way pickup selector and 3-way tone selector. The 25" scale length neck has mother of pearl thumbnail inlays and black side markers with 22 vintage frets on a 12" radius with a medium "C" profile. The hardware is comprised of gold Gretsch open gear tuning machines with oval heads, a bone nut w/ zero fret, a Gretsch Rocking Bar bridge w/ Bigsby Tremolo tailpiece and G-Arrow knobs with a gold plexi pickguard.
This guitar is in overall good condition. The fretboard has divots and tooling marks that appear to be from a refret at some point in its life. The current frets also have divots and flat areas. The finish on the back of the neck has been worn down to the wood from play. The rest of the guitar has surface marks, dings and finish checking throughout. There are small chips and discoloration in the binding; parts of the neck binding were repaired in-house. Some of the finish is hazy/dull in spots. (See Pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes Gator Hardshell Case.
