Vintage Gibson SG Standard in Natural finish made in 1972 with Original Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a solid mahogany body, mahogany neck and bound rosewood fingerboard. Upgraded with a set of Gibson Burstbucker 2 humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions. Controlled by 2 volume pots, 2 tone pots and a 3-Way toggle switch. The 24.75" scale length neck has mother of pearl block inlays and black side markers with 22 medium jumbo frets on a 12" radius with a slim taper profile. The hardware is comprised of chrome Gibson sealed die-cast tuning machines with keystone heads, a graphite nut, a Gibson "Harmonica" Tune-O-Matic bridge and black speed knobs with a 5 ply black on white pickguard.
This guitar is in overall good condition. It has had a headstock repair in the past, evidenced by where a hairline split was on the back of the neck. Additional support was added by two screws that were epoxied over. Two laminates were added inside the control cavity to support a blown out screw for the control cover. The neck also has some dents and divots, especially near the 7th fret. The body has dents and dings and the hardware/pickguard shows age and signs of play. (See pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes Original Hard Shell Case.
