Vintage Gibson SG Custom 3-Pickup in Polaris White finish made in 1978 with Original Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a solid mahogany body, mahogany neck and bound ebony fingerboard. Equipped with its original set of gold covered Gibson Tar Back Humbuckers in the neck, middle and bridge positions. Controlled by 2 volume pots, 2 tone pots and a 3-way toggle switch comprised of its original CTS pots dating to the 16th week of 1978. The 24.75" scale length neck has mother of pearl block inlays with black side markers and 22 medium jumbo frets with a slim taper neck profile. The hardware is comprised of original gold Gibson-branded Schaller sealed die-cast tuning machines, a corian nut, the original Made in Germany Schaller Harmonica bridge and black speed knobs with a 5-ply black on white pickguard.
This vintage guitar is in overall very good condition for its age. It has some scuffs, light surface scratches and some light dings/dents, plating wear and a few small finish chips. The pickups and pots are original; part of the wiring was replaced professionally with Gibson pickup wire as it was needed to function again. There is the original owners information etched into the under side of the electronics covers shielding and dated; we did not want to post pictures of his sensitive personal information. (See Pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings and includes original hard shell case.
