Regular price $18,000.00Gibson Heritage Flying V 1958 Reissue in Factory Pelham Blue finish made in 1981 with Original Hard Shell Case. this guitar features a solid mahogany body, mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard. Equipped with a its original Gibson patent stamp humbuckers in the neck position and bridge position. Controlled by 2 volume, 1 tone pot and a 3-Way toggle switch comprised of its original CTS pots dating to the 19th week of 1980. The 24.75" scale length neck has mother of pearl dot inlays and white side markers with 22 medium jumbo frets on a 12" radius with a slim taper profile. The hardware is comprised of gold Gibson vintage deluxe tuning machines with keystone heads, a corian nut, a Gibson nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-thru tailpiece and black top hat knobs with a 3 ply white on black pickguard.
Rare Bird! These models were not offered in this color! The original owner purchased this from Gruhne Guitars, who had hand picked two unfinished ‘58 Flying V bodies at the gibson factory and requested them to be finished in this color and the 2nd in another color.
This guitar is in overall excellent condition with some light signs of age and Play. It has a few light finish checking marks, a couple very light dimples on it's back, some light surface marks, a small clear chip on the rear edge of wing and 3 small dings on the headstock face/ edge. The pickguard has a slight warp on the bottom middle edge. Original case handle is included but the hinge points are disintegrating as usual. There is a channel route under the neck pickup to fit the pickup lead that was done at some point in its life. We cannot confirm this was done at the factory or after. (See pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes Original Hard Shell Case.
