Vintage Gibson Flying V in Ebony finish made in 1983 with Original Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a solid mahogany body, mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard. Equipped with a set of EMG 81 active humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions. Controlled by 2 volume pots, 1 tone pot and a 3-way toggle switch. The 24.75" scale length neck has pearloid dot inlays and white side markers with 22 medium jumbo frets on a 12" radius with a slim taper profile. The hardware is comprised of nickel Gibson Vintage Deluxe tuning machines with keystone heads, a corian nut, a Gibson ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and black speed knobs with a 3 ply white on black pickguard.
When we acquired this guitar, all the original electronics were long gone and it already had a route for a battery done at some point in its life. This was a great opportunity to re-equip it as a tribute/ clone of Kirk Hammett's Gibson Flying V he was known for using in the '80s.
This guitar is in overall very good condition. There are light surface marks and small dings throughout. The back of the neck has a few dings. There are a few uneven spots and marks on the fretboard. The back of the body has some belt rash. There are some dings on the tips of the points. (See Pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes Original Hard Shell Case.
