Vintage Gibson Flying V in Bahama Blue finish made in 1981 with Original Hard Shell Case. this guitar features a solid mahogany body, mahogany neck and bound rosewood fingerboard with a color matched headstock. Equipped with its original Gibson patent no humbucker in the neck position dating to 1981 and a Gibson patent no humbucker in the bridge position dating to 1983 (replaced). Controlled by 2 volume, 1 tone pot and a 3-Way toggle switch comprised of its original CTS pots dating to the 5th week of 1979. The 24.75" scale length neck has pearloid dot inlays and white side markers with 22 medium jumbo frets on a 12" radius with a slim taper profile. The hardware is comprised of gold Schaller sealed diecast tuning machines with cloche heads, a corian nut, a chrome Gibson ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and gold top hat knobs with a 5-Ply white pickguard.
This guitar is in overall very good condition for its age with some signs of play and age. It has some finish worn though on the top edge of body and bottom wing edge. Some finish check, It has some light marks, some scratches and several dings/dimples and a few dents/ small finish chips. (See pics)
Note: the original tuner holes have been filled at some point in its life/ tuners replaced, the bridge pickup was replaced with the correct model / generation but dates to 1983., bridge inserts /tail pieces studs have been replaced for function.
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes Original Hard Shell Case.
