Gibson Custom Shop Jimi Hendrix 1969 Flying V Production Sample #1 in Aged Ebony finish made in 2020 with Original Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a solid mahogany body, mahogany neck and bound ebony fingerboard. Equipped with a set of aged gold Gibson Custombuckers in the neck and bridge positions. Controlled by 2 volume pots, 1 tone pot and a 3-Way toggle switch comprised of 500k CTS pots & a ceramic disc capacitor. The 24.75" scale length neck has mother of pearl split diamond inlays and black side markers with 22 Reissue frets on a 12" radius with a 60s slim taper D profile. The hardware is comprised of aged gold Kluson single line, single ring tuning machines with tulip heads, a corian nut, an aged gold Gibson ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge with Maestro Short Vibrola and witch hat knobs with a 4 ply white on black pickguard.
This guitar was part of a large collection and is in overall excellent condition with light signs of play. This was the first production sample made for the limited edition run of only 125 produced. Because this is pre-aged, there are only a few marks on it that do not appear to be factory. There are some small marks on the back of the neck, some spots on the headstock & nut, and some sign of play on the pickguard. (See pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes Original Hard Shell Case, COA, & Original Case Candy with Hendrix-branded Truss Rod Cover, 5 Hendrix picks, and a factory-sealed limited edition 8x10 archival print of Jimi Hendrix courtesy of Kramer Archives, signed by engineer/producer Eddie Kramer.
