Fender Custom Shop English 1959 Stratocaster Relic Master Built by John English in Aged Sonic Blue finish made in 2005 with Original Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a solid alder body, quartersawn maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. Equipped with a set of Fender Handwound Fat 50's Strat single coils in the neck, middle and bridge position. Controlled by 1 volume, 2 tone pots and a 5-Way blade switch. The 25.5" scale length neck has clay dot inlays and clay dot side markers with 21 Vintage tall frets on a 9.5" radius with a 59 "C" profile. The hardware is comprised of Aged nickel Fender Vintage Style tuning machines with oval heads, a bone nut, a Fender Vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge, and white top hat knobs with a Single-Ply relic parchment pickguard.
John English was a renowned Senior Master Builder for Fender and after he passed away, his instruments have become even more sought after.
This guitar is in overall excellent condition with minimal signs of actual play or wear. (See Pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 9-42 strings. Includes Original Hard Shell Case, Re-issued COA Original Case Candy and Obituary.
*Note: Reissued COA‘s have the print date and not he build date of the instrument. This COA Reissue also has a typo, "56 Strat" when the guitar is a 59 Strat.
