Vintage ESP 48th St SEC HSS Custom in See Thru Orange finish made in Early 90s with Original Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a solid 2-piece quilted maple body, maple neck and ebony fingerboard. Equipped with two ESP Single Coils in the neck and middle positions and a Seymour Duncan SH-12 George Lynch Screamin' Demon in the bridge position. Controlled by 1 volume pot, 1 tone pot and a 5-way blade switch. The 25.5" scale length neck has pearloid dot inlays and white side markers with 22 extra jumbo frets on a 305mm radius with a thin U profile. The hardware is comprised of black ESP Sealed Die-Cast tuning machines with cloche heads, a Floyd Rose locking nut, a Floyd Rose Original Double Locking Tremolo System bridge and black knurled dome knobs.
This guitar has few oddball things about it like the lawsuit headstock which would have ended in around 1988, the pickups being original, the Screamin' Demon was not available until around 1990-1991. The neck plate falls into esp's undated years between 1990 and 1991 as well. The neck pocket has the commonly found "NY" written in the pocket indicating it was a 48th street custom build with the neck having the "Electronics Sound products" ink Stamp on the neck Heel. This would line up with it being a one off build. This guitar is near identical to a couple others we have seen from the 48th street custom shop from the late 80s / early 90s builds. owner confirmed it was purchased in New York City around that time.
This guitar is in overall excellent condition. It has some light surface marks in various places on the body. One of the screw holes was doweled to fit a new trem cavity cover back plate; it was slightly misaligned when the original holes were drilled and the bottom left hole was drilled through the side of the cavity. The tuners/trem bar show some light wear. (See Pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 9-42 strings. Includes Original Hard Shell Case.
