Vintage Epiphone USA Spirit Figured Maple Top in Sunburst finish made in 1982 with Original Chainsaw Case. This guitar features a solid maple body with a bound flamed maple top, 3-Piece maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. Upgraded with a DiMarzio PAF Neck in the neck position and a DiMarzio Super Distortion in the bridge position. Controlled by its original CTS pots consisting of 2 volume pots, 1 tone pot and a 3-Way toggle switch dating to the 29th week of 1982 (1378229). The 24.75" scale length neck has pearloid dot inlays and white side markers with 22 medium jumbo frets on a 12" radius with a slim taper profile. The hardware is comprised of chrome Kluson double ring single line tuning machines with keystone heads, a corian nut, a Schaller-made 2-Piece wraparound bridge and gold speed knobs.
This guitar is in overall good condition. The headstock has a few small dents around the top edge and some cloudiness in the finish on the sides. The fretboard has a couple of small dents near the 3rd and 5th frets. The body has some finish checking on the back and at some point the strap button was relocated to the back then again to its original position on the horn, leaving a hole. The sides of the body have some dents and scuffs on the back edge and the binding. (See pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes Original Chainsaw Case.
