B.C. Rich USA Eagle Standard Natural 1979 w/Hard Shell Case (Refin/Refret)
Vintage B.C. Rich Eagle Standard in Natural Nitrocellulose finish made in 1979 with hard shell case(Refin/Refret). This guitar features a solid koa body w/ maple stringers, koa neck-thru and rosewood fingerboard with a koa-overlay headstock. Equipped with it‘s original cream bobbin DiMarzio PAF in the neck position and a DiMarzio Super Distortion in the bridge position. Controlled by 1-Volume, 1-Tone, 1-Boost, 1-6-way rotary varitone pot and a 3-Way toggle switch with 2-way mini toggles coil tap. The 24.6" scale length neck has mother of pearl diamond inlays and white side markers with 24 jumbo frets on a 12" radius with a slim D profile. The hardware is comprised of nickel Grover Bullseye tuning machines with imperial heads, a bone nut, a Leo Quan "Bad Ass" bridge and black plastic dial grip knobs.
This arrived to us in factory black finish that had seen better days and we suspected a possible headstock repair because part of the neck looked to have been refinished where it meets the headstock. we opted to take this completely down to bare wood and give it a full refresh. Once the original paint was completely stripped off, it Received a full refret with jumbo frets with a new handmade unbleached bone nut. The wings were then stained burgundy blood red, the headstock got a stinger to cover up the old repair and it got a coat of Nitrocellulose to top it off for a more unique vintage feel. Some of it‘s electronics were replaced with Neal moser parts to function properly again.
This guitar is in overlay excellent condition with light signs of play. The case has the word "Fizz" painted on it.(See Pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes Original Hard Shell Case.
