Jackson USA Custom One of Firebird Employee Build in Cobalt Blue Metallic finish made in 1987 with a Gibson Firebird Hardshell case. This guitar features a solid alder wings on a 3-piece maple neck-thru body and bound ebony fingerboard. Equipped with a slant mounted Seymour Duncan Cool Rails Mini Humbucker in the neck position and a Seymour Duncan JBJ in the bridge position. Controlled by one master volume knob with push/pull pickup selector. The 25.5" scale length neck has mother of pearl sharkfin inlays and 22 jumbo frets on a 12"-16"compound radius with a speed neck profile. The hardware is comprised of black Gotoh sealed diecast tuning machines, a Floyd Rose locking nut, a factory surface mounted Floyd Rose original double locking tremolo bridge and a knurled black dome knob.

Jackson Firebirds are about one of the rarest to find 80s guitars as it is, this particular example was an employee one off build made by Steve Olsen in 1986. Its previous owner had this confirmed through Tim Galvan at Jackson.

Before its completion the guitar was routed for a front humbucker and was changed to a slant single. Tilted in the light, you can see the template humbucker route. All of the was done before being finished, all the the insides of cavity's are still factory painted and untouched. This instrument is on ovarall very good condition with moderate signs of play, it appears to have been Refretted as the jumbos have pretty much a full life on them. It has some scuffs, scratches, some dings dents and some paint chipping. There is some chips in the trem cavity that reveal some of the woods used (see pics)

Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 9-42 strings and includes Gibson firebird hardshell case.
