Vintage Silvertone H1454 Figured Maple Top in Redburst finish made in 1965 with Gigbag. This guitar features a double bound hollow figured maple back/ maple sides body with a figured maple top, poplar neck and bound rosewood fingerboard. Equipped with its original dearmond "indox" single coils in the neck, middle and bridge position dating to 1965. Controlled by 3-Volume, 3-Tone pots and a three 2-way toggle on/offs. The 24 1/8" scale length neck has pearloid block inlays and black side markers with 20 vintage frets on a 9.5" radius with a medium C profile. The hardware is comprised of nickel/chrome Kluson open gear tuning machines with oval heads, a nylon nut, a rosewood base with adjustable roller saddles bridge with Bigsby tremolo tailpiece and clear Top hat knobs with a 4-Ply tortoise pickguard.
These guitars were produced in Chicago by Harmony for Sears, Roebuck & Co in the mid 1960s and were their top of the line model featuring higher end attributes such as the Bigsby, 3 pickups and double binding.
This guitar is in overall very good condition with signs of play and age. it has some light finish check, finish wear, light surface marks/ scratches, some sings and small finish chips. The truss rod cover has been replaced with smaller one but no additional holes were drilled. The "Patent" on the bigsby was colored red at some point in its life.(See Pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes Gigbag.
