Vintage Silvertone Espanada H64 in Black finish made in 1957 with Original Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a double-bound hollow laminated maple back & sides body with a laminated maple top, mahogany neck and bound and dyed maple fingerboard. Equipped with its original Gibson-made P13 single coils in the neck position and bridge position surrounded by plexiglass rings. Controlled by 2 volume pots, 2 tone pots and a 3-Way toggle switch comprised of its original Centralab pots dating to the 50th week of 1957. The 25" scale length neck has pearloid block inlays and black side markers with 22 vintage frets on a 14" radius with a medium C profile. The hardware is comprised of its original nickel open gear tuning machines, a bone nut, an aftermarket ebony base bridge with ebony compensated saddle, trapeze tailpiece and original "cupcake" knobs with a 4 ply black on white pickguard.
This guitar is in overall good condition for its age with plenty signs of play and wear. It has finish check throughout the instrument, some binding shrinkage, a couple binding separation spots, scuffs, scratched and some finish worn through and a few finish chips. The lower fretboard binding cap is gone and the fretboard has wear spots around the first few frets from play. It appears to have had a refret at somepoint in its life and worn in again. (See pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes Original Hard Shell Case.
