Vintage Guild Starfire II in Cherry finish made in 1961 with Original Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a double bound hollow mahogany back&sides body with a mahogany top, mahogany neck and bound brazilian rosewood fingerboard. Retrofitted with a vintage Guild humbucker in the neck position and a BHK Guild humbucker clone in the bridge position. Controlled by 2 volume, 2 tone pots and a 3-Way toggle switch. The 24.75" scale length neck has mother of pearl dot inlays and black side markers with 22 vintage frets on a 12" radius with a medium C profile. The hardware is comprised of chrome Grover rotomatic tuning machines with keystone heads, a synthetic nut, a rosewood base bridge with adjustable height rosewood compensated saddle with Guild tailpiece and "G" grip top hat reflector knobs with a 1-Ply black pickguard.
This guitar is in overall good condition for its age with visible signs of play and age. It has finish check throughout the instrument, there is some binding shrinkage marks and a few of the common binding separation spots from this. It has some dings/ light dents, some scratches/ finish wear and a few chips. The pickups have been changed and the holes were routed to fit the full size humbuckers at some point in its life in lieu of the smaller sized Darmounds. The tuners were replace and you can see the old Holes. (See Pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes Original Hard Shell Case.
