Vintage Gibson SG Deluxe in Cherry finish made in 1971 with Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a solid mahogany body, 3-piece mahogany neck and bound Indian rosewood fingerboard. Equipped with its original set of Gibson "Patent No" humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions. Controlled by 2 volume pots, 2 tone pots and a 3-Way toggle switch comprised of its original wiring with CTS pots dating to the 41st week of 1971. The 24.75" scale length neck has mother of pearl block inlays and black side markers with 22 medium jumbo frets on a 12" radius with a slim taper profile. The hardware is comprised of chrome Grover Rotomatic "Patent Pending" tuning machines with kidney heads, a corian nut, a Gibson ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge w/ Gibson-branded Bigsby Tremolo and witch hat knobs with its original Les Paul-style 5-ply black on white pickguard.
This guitar is in overall good condition. There is finish checking, light surface marks, and small dents throughout the guitar. The original bolt holding the trem arm was missing when it arrived to us but was replaced. The headstock has chipped edges and some small dents on the back. The neck has a couple of dings around the 5th and 7th frets. The back of the body has some belt rash. (See pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes 1968-69 Lifton marigold interior hard shell case.
