Vintage Gibson ES-335 Studio in Ebony finish made in 1989 with Original Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a double bound semi-hollow laminated maple back & sides body with a maple top, mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard. Upgraded with a set of Gibson P94T single coils in the neck and bridge positions. Controlled by 2 volume pots, 2 tone pots and a 3-way toggle switch comprised of upgraded Emerson components. The 24.75" scale length neck has pearloid dot inlays and white side markers with 22 medium jumbo frets on a 12" radius with a slim taper profile. The hardware is comprised of gold Grover Rotomatic tuning machines with kidney heads, a bone nut, a Gibson Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge w/stopbar tailpiece and top hat reflector knobs with a 5-ply black on white pickguard.
This guitar is in overall good condition. The headstock has some dings on the sides and light surface marks throughout. The tuners were replaced at some point leaving the outlines of the originals. The plating on most of the gold hardware is worn. There is some binding separation around the body. The body finish is checked throughout on both sides and has light finish marks. There are a few light scuffs and surface marks on the back of the neck. The treble side of the fretboard has some small chips in the finish around the 3rd & 8th frets. The tolex on the case has become loose in a few spots and the latch for the combo lock is gone. (See Pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes Original Hard Shell Case.
