Vintage Gibson ES-225T in Golden Sunburst finish made in 1955 with Original Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a double bound hollow laminated maple back & sides body with a laminated maple top, mahogany neck and bound rosewood fingerboard. Equipped with its original Gibson P-90 Dogear in the middle position controlled by 1 volume pot and 1 tone pot. The 24.75" scale length neck has pearloid dot inlays and tortoise side markers with 20 vintage frets on a 12" radius with a 50's rounded profile. The hardware is comprised of the original nickel Kluson Deluxe "Pat Applied" tuning machines with oval heads, a bone nut, a Gibson trapeze bridge and gold top hat knobs with a 4 ply black on white pickguard.
This guitar is in overall good condition. The body is heavily checked on all sides. There is a scratch on the front near the bridge and the top of the headstock has dents. The neck has several indentations and marks. The pickup and bridge show signs of age. The screw hole for the pickguard mounting bracket has been filled so the guard is unsupported on the treble edge. Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes Original Lifton Hard Shell Case.
