Gibson Custom Art & Historic Flying V Custom "One of The Forty" in Ebony finish made in 2002 with Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a solid mahogany body with a bound maple top, mahogany neck and bound ebony fingerboard with a bound headstock. Equipped with a set of Gibson '57 Classic humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions. Controlled by 2 volume pots, 1 tone pot and a 3-way toggle switch. The 24.75" scale length neck has mother of pearl block inlays and black side markers with 22 medium jumbo frets on a 12" radius with a 50's Rounded profile. The hardware is comprised of gold Grover Rotomatic tuning machines with kidney heads, a corian nut, a Gibson ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and top hat reflector knobs with a 5-ply black on white pickguard.
This limited edition was "One Of The Forty" built for NAMM 2002.
This guitar is in overall very good condition. There are light surface marks throughout the headstock, back of neck, and body. The fretboard has light horizontal marks near the frets throughout. There is wear on the gold-plated parts. The back of the body has some light belt rash and some dings on the edges. The tips of the wings have some small dings. (See Pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes Gibson-branded Hard Shell Case.
