Vintage Ibanez Artist Series 2617 in Natural finish made in 1978 with Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a solid ash body with a bound ash top, 3-piece maple neck and bound ebony fingerboard with a bound headstock. Equipped with its original set of Ibanez Super 80 humbuckers in the neck & bridge positions. Controlled by 2 volume pots, 2 tone pots, a 3-way toggle switch and an added "Tri-Sound" 2-way mini toggle. The 24.75" scale length neck has mother of pearl/abalone split block inlays and black side markers with 22 jumbo frets on a 305mm radius with an AR profile. The hardware is comprised of gold Ibanez VelveTune tuning machines with pearloid heads, a Half & Half nut, an Ibanez Gibraltar bridge w/ Quik Change tailpiece and Sure Grip knobs.
This guitar is in overall very good condition. At some point the upper strap button was relocated to the back then moved back to its original position, leaving the hole open on the back; the lower strap button was replaced with a Dunlop Dual Design. The headstock has some light surface marks, a few dings around the edges and there is a small chip in the inlay. The body and back of the neck have some light marks and dents throughout. The plating on the hardware is worn on the pickups, bridge, and back cavity covers. (See Pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes Hard Shell Case.
