Vintage Gibson Les Paul Deluxe in Gold Top finish made in 1976 with Original Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a sandwiched mahogany/maple/mahogany body with a bound maple top, 3-piece maple neck and bound rosewood fingerboard. Equipped with its original set of Gibson Mini "Patent Stamp" Humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions. Controlled by 2 volume pots, 2 tone pots and a 3-Way toggle switch comprised of period-correct CTS pots dating from 1976-1978. The 24.75" scale length neck has pearloid trapezoid inlays and black side markers with 22 medium jumbo frets on a 9.5" radius with a slim taper profile. The hardware is comprised of chrome Gibson Vintage Deluxe tuning machines with keystone heads, a synthetic nut, a Gibson Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge and top hat reflector knobs.
This guitar is in overall very good condition. At some point in its life, the fretboard was re-fretted and re-radiused from the typical Gibson 12" to 9.5". The body shows some finish checking, small dents and scuffs throughout. The finish on the neck has worn down in a few spots and there is a small dent around the 7th fret that appears to have been sanded smooth. The back of the body has some belt rash, light surface marks, and marks on the control cavity covers. The finish on the front of the body has darkened around the pickguard, which is no longer installed. There is some dye bleed and small cracks in the neck binding. The lower latch on the case is broken. (See pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes Original Hard Shell Case.
