Vintage Jackson USA RR1 Rhoads Student Model Diablo Resto-Mod in Black with Gold Pinstripes and Faded Snakeskin Bevels By Mike Learn made in 1983 with Original Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a solid poplar body, maple neck-thru and rosewood fingerboard. Re-equipped with a custom set of aged gold covered Bare Knuckle Handwound pickups, a Cold Sweat humbucker in the neck position and a Bare Knuckle Painkillers in the middle/bridge positions. Controlled by neck/middle/bridge volume pots with push/pull coil splits and a 3-Way toggle switch. The 25.5" scale length neck has mother of pearl dot inlays, white side markers with 22 jumbo frets on a 16" radius with a speed neck profile. The hardware is comprised of black Jackson sealed die-cast tuning machines with cloche heads, a bone nut, a NOS PCS brass Tune-o-matic bridge w/ strings thru body gold tail piece and black knurled dome knobs with a gold pickguard.
This guitar started its life as an original USA RR1 Student model. When it came to us initially it had been previously modified with a Kahler and middle pickup route. We decided to bring this back to its original state while embracing the unique 3-pickup setup with a few tweaks. With some help from our connections, we sourced an NOS original bridge & tailpiece, had Bareknuckle make us a custom set of aged gold pickups and sent the body off to Mike Learn for a full Refin. Before Starting the refin he striped the paint and puzzle pieced a piece of maple into the kahler route. Then to some vintage inspired graphics with classic pinstripes with unique faded gold snake skin bevels. Once Finished this Guitar spent the last few years with one of the biggest jackson collectors in the country before making it's way back to us!
This guitar is in overall good condition. There are some scuffs on the back of the neck near the headstock and around the 12th fret. The body has some light surface marks throughout and there are some small dings and scuffs around the points. The gold hardware has lightly oxidized over time and the new gold parts were aged to match. There are some light finish separation spots on the neck and headstock. The top fins point has a small chip at the front tip. One case latch is broken. (See pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 9-42 strings. Includes Original Hard Shell Case.
