Vintage Gibson Les Paul Custom in Cherry Sunburst finish made in 1981 with Original Chainsaw Case. This guitar features a double bound solid mahogany body with a carved maple top, 3-piece maple neck and bound ebony fingerboard with a bound headstock. Equipped with its original set of Gibson Patent Stamp humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions. Controlled by 2 volume pots, 2 tone pots and a 3-Way toggle switch comprised of three of its original CTS pots dating to 1980 and 1981. The 24.75" scale length neck has mother of pearl block inlays and black side markers with 22 medium jumbo frets on a 12" radius with a slim taper profile. The hardware is comprised of gold Gibson Crank Winders tuning machines with keystone heads, a corian nut, a Gibson ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and black speed knobs with a 5-ply black on white pickguard.
This guitar is in overall good condition. There are light surface marks/scratches and small dings/dents throughout. At some point in its life it was given a refret and the back of the neck was sanded down to the wood. The gold hardware has oxidation and wear. There are divots on the fretboard and on a few of the frets. (See Pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes Original Chainsaw Case.
