Vintage Gibson Les Paul Custom in Alpine White finish made in 1974 with Original Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a solid double-bound sandwiched mahogany/maple/mahogany body with a maple top, 3-piece mahogany neck and bound ebony fingerboard with a bound headstock. Equipped with its original set of Gibson "Patent No." humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions. Controlled by 2 volume pots, 2 tone pots and a 3-way toggle switch comprised of its original CTS pots dating to the 30th week of 1974. The 24.75" scale length neck has mother of pearl block inlays and black side markers with 22 medium jumbo frets on a 12" radius with a slim taper profile. The hardware is comprised of gold Grover Rotomatic tuning machines with keystone heads, a bone nut, a Gibson ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and white top hat knobs with a 5-ply black on white pickguard.
This guitar is in overall good condition. At some point in its life it received a refret, which appears to have been done a long time ago due to the current fret level. It has finish checking, light surface marks, and small dings/dents throughout. The white color has aged into a more buttery color in most areas, though there are a few spots where the original color remains including the back of the neck and various patches on the body. There are some other pink/red discolored areas. The neck pickup ring was replaced and the original is included. The gold plating has worn off of most of the hardware. (See Pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes Original Hard Shell Case.
