The Peavey 5150 "Script Logo" is the original high-gain icon that defined modern American metal tone. Designed in collaboration with Eddie Van Halen and built in the USA, the early 1990s 5150 heads deliver massive saturation, tight low end response, and cutting upper mids that sit perfectly in a dense mix. With 120 watts of 6L6 power and a brutally aggressive preamp section, the original 5150 remains one of the most recorded high-gain amplifiers of all time.
This 1993 Script Logo example is in good condition, showing visible wear to the tolex and corner protectors consistent with age and use. An internal LED strip has been installed inside the enclosure, creating a glow effect when plugged in. The modification is cosmetic only and does not affect operation. See photos for details.
