Mesa Boogie Mark II A 1979 - Black

This 1979 Mesa Boogie Mark IIA is an early Mark Series 1x12 tube combo with a January 1979 chassis date and serial number 3317. The amplifier is equipped with four 12AX7 preamp tubes, two 6L6 power tubes, reverb, and a replacement Celestion G12T-75 speaker.
Modifications include an added external F.E.T. toggle switch to quickly switch between an original V1 Fetron (not included) circuit and a standard 12AX7, an added Preamp Out jack, and an additional reverb footswitch 1/4" Jack, all of which is installed underneath the chassis (see photos). The installed Celestion G12T-75 is a later 1980's replacement speaker that at the time was created as a higher-power speaker for the new generation of high-gain amplifiers.
This amplifier is in good overall condition with moderate cosmetic wear consistent with its age and previous use. The front faceplate has scuffs and scratches, most noticeably near the Mesa logo, and the black tolex has small tears, nicks, and scuffs throughout. The original rear panel has been replaced with a painted wooden panel secured with drywall screws.
