Vintage JBL D130F 15" 8-ohm Alnico guitar speaker, serial number 31320. Introduced in the 1960s for high-powered musical instrument applications, the D130F is known for its high efficiency, fast response and clear, articulate sound.
This speaker was recently tested and is fully functional. This speaker is in overall good cosmetic condition. The front of the cone has some dirt, and the back of the gray basket has scratches and areas of tarnish. Additional wear is present around the mounting rim. (See Pics)
The cone is stamped 58057 and appears to be a replacement cone associated with JBL D130F rebuilds. A Bandstand East service label and handwritten markings appear to include a job or invoice number beginning with "782," a likely service date of "11-15-91" and technician initials or a service code. Together, these markings strongly suggest that the speaker was reconed or serviced by Bandstand East around November 15, 1991. The origin of the installed recone kit cannot be independently authenticated, and the cone is not represented as original.
