Hofner 500/1 Vintage ‘63 Violin Bass Sunburst 2006 w/OHSC

Hofner 500/1 Vintage ‘63 Violin Bass in Sunburst finish made in 2006 with Original Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a hollow double bound flame maple back & sides body with a spruce top, 3-piece maple/beech/maple neck and ebony fingerboard. Equipped with a set of Hofner H511 humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions. Controlled by 2 volume pots, a rhythm/solo switch and individual bridge/neck pickup on/off switches. The 30" scale length neck has mother of pearl dot inlays and no side markers with 22 jumbo frets with a medium "C" profile. The hardware is comprised of nickel Hofner open gear tuning machines with cloche heads, a 3-ply corian nut w/ zero fret, a Hofner ebony base bridge w/ trapeze tailpiece and gold top teacup knobs with a single ply crushed celluloid pickguard.

This guitar is in overall very good condition. There are light surface marks throughout. The back of the neck has a small ding around the 5th fret. There are some small scuffs in various areas around the edges. (See Pics)

Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 45-100 strings. Includes Original Hard Shell Case.
