Vintage Hamer Custom Shop Vector V #2 Rick Nick Nielsen Signature Artist Signed in Black & White Checkerboard finish made in 1983 with Original Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a solid mahogany body, mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard with a color matched headstock. Equipped with its original pair of color matched Hamer Slammer Humbuckers in the neck position and bridge position. Controlled by 2 volume, 1 tone pots and a 3-Way toggle switch comprised of its original CTS pots dating to the 37th week of 1983. The 24.75" scale length neck has mother of pearl bowtie inlays and White side markers with 22 medium jumbo frets on a 12" radius with a medium "C" profile. The hardware is comprised of nickel Grover Mini-Rotomatic tuning machines with mini kidney bean heads, a bone nut, a Hamer ABR-1 Tune-o-matic bridge and color matched speed knobs.
This Guitar was Signed and noted "#2 V" By Rick Nielsen, Typically when making One Offs, they would build two and let the artist choose between them. This is also featured in "The Ultimate, An Illustrated History of Hamer Guitars" Published in 2013, and can be seen on Page 70.(See Pic)
This guitar is in overall excellent condition with light signs of play, It has light surface marks and some very light picking marks on the body you can see under direct light. There is a small chip in one of the inlays corner edge. The bridge pickup was partially rewound to factory spec By Sonny Walton At Sonny's Custom Shop. (See Pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes Original Hard Shell Case and original Extra color matched poker chip.
