Vintage Gibson Les Paul Custom in Ebony finish made in 1982 with Original Chainsaw Case. This guitar features a double bound solid mahogany body with a maple top, 3-piece maple neck and bound ebony fingerboard with a bound headstock. Equipped with its original set of Gibson Patent Stamp humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions that are controlled by 2 volume pots, 2 tone pots and a 3-way toggle switch comprised of its original CTS pots dating to the 35th week of 1981. The 24.75" scale length neck has mother of pearl block inlays and black side markers with 22 medium jumbo frets on a 12" radius with a slim taper profile. The hardware is comprised of chrome Gibson Crank Winders tuning machines with keystone heads, a corian nut, a Schaller-made Gibson Tune-O-Matic bridge and black speed knobs with a 5-ply black on white pickguard.
This guitar is in overall very good condition. There are light surface marks and some finish checking throughout the guitar. The hardware is oxidized and the plating is worn. There are a few minor dings around the edges of the headstock and neck. The back of the body has some belt rash. The knobs have yellowed a bit over time. (See Pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes Original Chainsaw Case.
