Vintage Gibson Les Paul Custom in Ebony finish (refin) made in 1970 with Original Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a double bound solid mahogany body with a maple top, mahogany neck and bound ebony fingerboard with a bound headstock. Equipped with its original set of Gibson Patent No humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions that are controlled by 2 volume pots, 2 tone pots and a 3-way toggle switch comprised of its original CTS pots dating to the 40th week of 1970. The 24.75" scale length neck has mother of pearl block inlays and black side markers with 22 medium jumbo frets on a 12" radius with a slim taper profile. The hardware is comprised of gold Kluson Waffle Back tuning machines with keystone heads, a bone nut, a Gibson ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and witch hat knobs with a 5-ply black on white pickguard.
This guitar is in overall very good condition. It was refinished at some point in its life, the neck was rebound and received a refret with a bone nut. There are light surface marks and small dings throughout. There are some small areas showing evidence of the refinish around the neck joint and by some of the binding. There is oxidation on the gold plating and some light rust/patina on some of the screws/hardware. (See Pics)
The case was painted blue at some point and the color is coming off of certain areas. Two of the latches are broken but the others function properly. There is a rip in the tolex on the top. (See Pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes Original Hard Shell Case.
