Vintage Gibson Flying V in Silverburst finish made in 1981 with Original Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a solid mahogany body, 3-piece mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard. Equipped with its original set of Gibson "Patent Stamp" humbuckers in the neck bridge positions. Controlled by 2 volume pots, 1 tone pot and a 3-way toggle switch comprised of its original CTS pots dating to the 5th week of 1979. The 24.75" scale length neck has pearloid dot inlays and white side markers with 22 medium jumbo frets on a 12" radius with a slim taper profile. The hardware is comprised of nickel Gibson embossed Flower tuning machines with keystone heads, a corian nut, a Gibson ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and witch hat knobs with a 3-ply white-on-black pickguard.
This guitar is in overall very good condition. There are light surface marks and minor dings throughout the guitar. The top has a couple of small finish chips and the back has a small amount of belt rash. The bottoms of the points have finish chips and small dings. The frets are on the flatter side and some have light divots. The pickguard has an outline of a previously applied sticker. (See Pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes Original Hard Shell Case.
