Vintage Fender Pre-CBS Stratocaster in 3 Tone Sunburst finish made in 1960 with Original Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a solid alder body, maple neck and Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. Equipped with its original set of three Fender Black Bobbin Single Coils in the neck, middle, and bridge positions. Controlled by 1 volume pot, 2 tone pots and a 5-way blade switch comprised of its original Stackpole tone pots dating to the 20th week of 1960. The 25.5" scale length neck has clay dot inlays and white side markers with 21 vintage frets on a 7.25" radius with a medium "C" profile. The hardware is comprised of chrome Kluson Deluxe Single Line tuning machines with oval heads, a bone nut, a Fender Pat Pending 6-Screw Tremolo bridge and white top hat knobs with a 3-ply mint on black pickguard.
This guitar is in overall very good condition for its age. There are finish chips, dings/dents, light surface marks and finish checking throughout. There are some small patches of touch up paint. The back of the neck has been worn down to the wood. There are some extra holes in the headstock suggesting it may have had different tuners at some point. Some of the hardware has rust and light patina. (See Pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 9-42 strings. Includes Original Hard Shell Case.
