Vintage Charvel Star Bass in Black finish made in 1983 with Original Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a solid bound poplar body, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. Equipped with its original set of Charvel P and J-Style pickups in the neck and bridge positions. Controlled by 2 volume pots and 1 tone pot comprised of its original Centralab pots dating to the 11th week of 1983. The 34" scale length neck has white dot inlays and white side markers with 21 jumbo frets on a 16" radius with a medium "C" profile. The hardware is comprised of black Charvel Open Gear tuning machines with Y-Shape heads, a graphite nut, a Charvel 4-Saddle Adjustable bridge and gold knurled dome knobs.
This guitar is in overall good condition. At some point in its life it received a refret. There are light surface marks and small dings/dents throughout the guitar. The fretboard has some small chips near some of the frets. Some of the hardware has light rust/patina. The back of the neck has some dark discoloration. The tuning machines show wear and some pitting in the finish. There is belt rash on the back and some heavier dings on the tips of the points that go to the wood. The top of the case has stickers and one of the hinges on the bottom has lost its rivets, but it still functions properly. (See Pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 45-100 strings. Includes Original Hard Shell Case.
