Ibanez UV77-MC ATD Steve Vai Signature Universe Multi-Color 1991 w/Hardshell Case

Vintage Ibanez Universe UV77MC ATD in Multi Color Finish Made in Japan in 1991 with Ibanez hard shell TSA case. This guitar features a solid basswood body, 1-Piece maple neck and rosewood fingerboard with a gloss black with green logo headstock. Equipped with a Neon green bobbin Dimarzio blaze II humbucker in the neck position, a blaze II single coil in the middle position, and a blaze II humbucker in the bridge position. Controlled by 1 volume, 1 tone pot and a 5-Way blade switch. The 25.5" scale length neck has acrylic disappearing pyramids inlays and 24 jumbo frets on a 17" radius with a UV neck profile. The hardware is comprised of cosmo black gotoh sealed diecast tuning machines with cloche heads, a top lok nut, an ibanez edge 7, and neon green top hat knobs with a clear acrylic pickguard.

"Although regular production of the guitar took place in Japan, the guitar bodies were 'swirled' in the USA creating the unique finish. This was done by Darren Johansen of About Time Design. Unfinished bodies would ship from the Japan to the US for swirling and back to Japan for clear-coating and final assembly."

This guitar is in overall very good condition with some signs of play. It has very light surface marks/ very light surface scratches, some picking marks on the guard, a few factory dimples in the swirl finish, a couple light dings, a couple light finish wear spots, and a thin finish split on the bodies back lower edge with a clear chip on the top rear edge (See pics)

Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-59 strings. Includes Ibanez Hard Shell TSA Case, Matching Multi Color Strap.
