Vintage Gibson SG Standard with Maestro in Pelham Blue finish made in 1966 with Original Hard Shell Case (Refret). This guitar features a solid mahogany body, mahogany neck and bound Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. Equipped with its original Gibson patent number humbuckers in the neck and bridge position. Controlled by 2 volume, 2 tone pots and a 3-Way toggle switch comprised of its original CTS pots dating to 1965. The 24.75" scale length neck has pearloid trapezoid inlays and black side markers with 22 vintage frets on a 12" radius with a slim taper profile. The hardware is comprised of chrome Kluson double ring double line tuning machines with keystone heads, a corian nut, a Gibson ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge with maestro tremolo tailpiece and top hat reflector knobs with a 5-Ply black pickguard.
This guitar is in overall good condition with visible signs of play and age. It has visible finish check throughout the instrument, some finish splits, dings/dents, finish wear and finish chips. There is the common hairline wood split on the bottom edge near the control cavity. The bridge posts were drilled and doweled at somepoint in its life, we had these touched up by Joe Riggio with Nitro. The tuners were replaced at somepoint for another style and correct style/generation was reinstalled. It's had a refret at somepoint in its life. (See Pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes Original Lifton Hard Shell Marigold interior Case.
