Fender Telecaster Blonde 1955/1956 w/Hardshell Case (Refin)
$14,999.99
Regular price $12,499.99Fender Telecaster in Blonde finish made in 1955/1956 with Fender Hardshell Tweed (Refin). This guitar features a solid ash body which dates to April 1955, a bolt on maple neck and maple fingerboard which dates to September 1956. Equipped with its original Fender black bobbin single coil Tele pickups in the neck position and bridge position, which the latter has been rewound. Controlled by 1 volume, 1 tone pot and a 3-Way blade switch comprised of it's original Centralab pots dating to the 11th & 15th week of 1955. The 25.5" scale length neck has black dot inlays and black side markers with 21 vintage frets on a 9.5" radius with a vintage "V" profile. The hardware is comprised of nickel/chrome Kluson deluxe "patent applied"single line tuning machines with oval heads, a bone nut, a Fender "pat pending" telecaster bridge with barrel saddles and chrome knurled dome knobs with a 1-Ply white pickguard.
This guitar is in overall very good condition with some signs of play and age. The body /electronics and pickguard are all from 1955 and original, the neck stamp and the small gaps on both sides of neck heel make us believe this neck is possibly (most likely) from another telecaster and dates to 1956. The body once had a Bigsby installed and the holes have been doweled & filled before the body was refinished By Greg Rodger's of "Rodger's Guitars" in Sedro-woolly WA. The bridge pickup was rewound at some point in it's life, which was noted be the previous owner. It has some surface marks, some light scratches, a few dings/dents and finish wear on neck edges. The pickguard split was repaired at one of the screw holes. (See Pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 9-42 strings. Includes Tweed Fender Hardshell Case.
