Vintage Rickenbacher "Electro" NS Lap Steel in Silverburst finish made in 1948-1950 with Original Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a hollow stamped steel body with a stamped steel top, stamped steel neck and fingerboard. Equipped with its original rickenbacher horseshoe single coil in the bridge position. Controlled by 1 volume, 1 tone pot compromised of its original pots. The 22.50" scale length neck has white dot inlays and 36 stamped frets on a flat radius with a stamped neck profile. The hardware is comprised of nickel Kluson strip tuning machines with black oval heads, a bakelite nut, a Bakelite bridge saddle and brown chicken head knobs.
These Lap Steels can be hard to date as they were never serialized. The NS Model was introduced in 1946, the white position markers did not show up on these until 1948 and this model was discontinued shortly after in 1950.
This guitar is in overall very good condition with some visible signs of play. The rubber or plastic bumper knob is missing from the bottom of the instrument, the screw is still intact. Two inlays have fallen out at some point in its life. it has finish wear, it has some dings and scratches. (See Pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 13-56 strings. Includes Original Hard Shell Case, 2 Steven's Tone slides and one Sho Bud Slide.
