Vintage Gibson Les Paul Standard in Cherry Sunburst finish made in 1978 with Original Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a solid mahogany body with a cream bound maple top, 3-piece maple neck and bound rosewood fingerboard. Equipped with a DiMarzio 36th Anniversary PAF in the neck position and a Seymour Duncan SH1B ‘59 in the bridge position. Controlled by 2 volume knobs, 2-tone knobs and a 3-way toggle switch comprised of two of the original CTS pots dating to the 8th week of 1978 and 2 new CTS 500k volume pots (all originals are still included). The 24.75" scale length neck has pearloid trapezoid inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets with a slim taper neck profile. The hardware is comprised of a swapped out set of vintage Grover bullseye rotomatic tuning machines, a corian nut, a Tune-O-Matic bridge and gold speed knobs with a 1-ply cream pickguard.
This vintage guitar is in overall very good condition for its age, the tuners have been swapped out and the pickups too, though the pots are original. It has moderate wear, some dings & dents, light marks and some scratches, the back has some belt rash as well. (See Pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings and includes original hard shell case.
