If you are looking for classic, vintage Tele tone, this is the set. I based this set on my own 1955 Telecaster. 1955 was the year that Fender transitioned from flat-pole magnets to the raised D/G stagger on the bridge pickup. This set can be ordered in either configuration, but the flat-pole is standard. This set is bright and twangy and sounds particularly great when paired with a Deluxe Reverb or AC-30 pushed just to the point of breakup.
