Vintage Fender Jaguar in Sunburst finish made in 1964 with Vintage Fender Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a solid alder body, maple neck and Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. Equipped with its original set of Fender Single Coil Jaguar pickups in the neck and bridge positions. Controlled by 1-Master volume, 1-Master tone, 1-Rhythm tone wheel and 1-Rhythm volume wheel, comprised of its original Stackpole pots dating to the 20th week of 1963 (304-6320). The 24" scale length neck has clay dot inlays and clay side markers with 22 vintage frets on a 7.25" radius with a "C" shape profile. The hardware is comprised of a replaced set of nickel Kluson Deluxe-style Single Line tuning machines with oval heads, a bone nut, a chrome Fender "Pat No" adjustable bridge w/ floating trem and black grip knobs with a 5-Ply tortoise shell pickguard.
This guitar is in overall good condition. There is a burn mark on the bottom of the headstock. The body has finish checking throughout and several dents/dings. The tuning machines were replaced at some point in its life with Japanese-made Kluson replica tuners. The fretboard has a few deep marks on it on the 1st, 2nd, and 9th frets. We had the neck pickup professionally rewound by Sonny's Custom Shop in Plano, TX.
The case is from 1963 and has some splits and tears. It is from the right time period but we can't verify that it is the original. It was also painted at some point, evidenced by excess paint on the feet and some barely visible text. It can only be seen in the right lighting condition. (See pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 9-42 strings. Includes 1963 Fender Hard Shell Case.
