Vintage Gibson SG Custom in Antique Ivory finish made in 1987 with Original Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a solid mahogany body, quartersawn mahogany neck and bound ebony fingerboard with a bound headstock. Equipped with its original set of three Gibson Patent No "1959 Re-Issue" humbuckers in the neck, middle, and bridge positions. Controlled by 2 volume pots, 2 tone pots and a 3-Way toggle switch comprised of its original CTS pots from the 48th week of 1987. The 24.75" scale length neck has mother of pearl block inlays and black side markers with 22 medium jumbo frets on a 12" radius with a slim taper profile. The hardware is comprised of gold Grover Rotomatic tuning machines with kidney heads, a corian nut, a Gibson ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and top hat reflector knobs with a 2 ply white on black pickguard.
This guitar is in overall excellent condition. The finish has aged over time into a butter-like yellow on most of the body/neck that is lighter on the corners of the carves and on parts of the neck. The headstock has some light surface marks and a small finish chip on the tip. There is some dark discoloration on the back of the neck. The plating on the tuning machines, pickups, and bridge show wear. There are light surface marks on the back of the body. (See pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes Original Hard Shell Case.
