Gibson Government Series Flying V II in Government Tan finish made in 2013 with Original Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a solid mahogany body, mahogany neck and rosewood that was seized by the government in august 2011 for the fingerboard woods. Equipped with a set Gibson Dirty Fingers+ (Ceramic) in the neck and bridge positions. Controlled by 2-volume, 1-tone knob and a 3-way toggle switch. The 24.75" scale length neck has pwarlord dot inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets on a 12" radius with a slim taper neck profile. The hardware is comprised of black Grover tuning machines, a corian nut, a Tune-O-Matic bridge with stop tail and top hat reflector knobs with a 3-ply black/white pickguard with Embossed Eagle.
The Gibson Government Series Electric Guitars are unique and extremely limited edition guitars that represents a very interesting moment in Gibson's history. In August of 2011, the US government seized Madagascar/Indian mahogany, ebony and rosewood fingerboard blanks, neck blanks and even whole guitars from Gibson's Nashville factory in a raid. That rosewood was later returned to Gibson once they reached an agreement with the Justice Department and now Gibson USA features this rosewood on these instruments. The Government Series Exolorer is limited to only 300 guitars
This guitar is in good condition With visible signs of wear and play. it has some surface marks, a few light dings, some light belt rash indentations on its back and finish worn through to the wood /chipping along its edges and back of neck. The pickguard was light picking marks and the embossed eagle is partially worn away. (See pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes original hard shell case, factory inspection card.
