Vintage Fender L-Series Jazzmaster in Candy Apple Red finish made in 1965 with Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a solid alder body, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard with a color matched headstock. Equipped with its original set of Fender Jazzmaster grey-bobbin single coils dating to 3-31-1965 in the neck and bridge positions. Controlled by 1 volume pot, 1 tone pot, a 3-way toggle switch with Rhythm Circuit on/off switch, Rhythm Circuit Volume dial and Rhythm Circuit Tone dial all comprised of their original Stackpole pots dating to the 8th week of 1965. The 25.5" scale length neck has clay dot inlays and clay side markers with 21 medium jumbo frets on a 7.25" radius with a medium C profile. The hardware is comprised of nickel Kluson no line tuning machines with oval heads, a bone nut, a Fender 6-saddle Jazzmaster bridge with "Patent No" tremolo tailpiece and white top hat knobs with a 3-ply white on black pickguard.
This guitar is in overall very good condition for its age. The body was refinished at some point in its life while leaving the headstock in its original color. It was also refretted at some point in its life with medium jumbo frets and has a replacement nut. It has small finish chips and dents throughout. There is some belt rash on the back and the neck plate shows wear. There is some chip out from the removal/replacement of the bridge posts. The headstock shows some finish checking, has some finish chips, dings, and some of the decal has worn off. One of the string trees is missing. The neck has dings and indentations throughout. Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 9-42 strings. Includes Hard Shell Case.
