Fender Stratocaster Custom Color Lake Placid Blue 1965 OHSC

Fender Stratocaster in factory custom color in Lake Placid Blue finish made in 1965 with Original Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a solid alder body, maple neck and Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. Equipped with the original Grey Bobbin single-coil pickups that are dated to 1965 Controlled by 1-volume, 2-tone knobs with pots that date to 1965 and the original 3-way toggle switch. The 25.5" scale length neck has a medium "C" haped neck profile, pearloid dot inlays and has been re-fretted with 21 medium jumbo frets. The original hardware is comprised of Kluson deluxe double-line tuning machines, a bone nut, a Fender synchronized tremolo bridge, and Fender white knobs with a 3-ply white/black pick-guard.

This guitar is in very good condition for it's age however it has finish wear, dings and dents throughout the front, back and sides of the body. There is the outline of a sticker on the back of he headstock from what was likely the original guitar shop that had the guitar for sale in 1965. The pick-guard has shrunk slightly resulting in the shielding not lining up exactly with the pick-guard. The back plate has chips around three of the screw holes. Aside from the cosmetic wear and re-fret this is a fantastic example of an original custom color Fender Stratocaster. Freshly setup and re-strung with 9-42 strings and includes original hard shell case.
