Fender Stratocaster Slab Board Brazilian Rosewood Pre-CBS Neck Vintage 1961 - Original
Vintage Fender Stratocaster neck dated December 1961. This Pre-CBS neck features a slab board Brazilian rosewood fretboard on an original maple neck with clay dots inlays and original Fender headstock decal.
The neck has been re-fretted by an unknown guitar luthier who did a bit of a messy job leaving behind visible super glue on the 10th and 15th frets (see photos) and they over sanded the freatboard.
The back of the neck has been sanded from around the first fret area down to before the heel area begins. You can see under a black light that the headstock and neck heel still maintain the original finish.
There has been larger tuners at one point on this guitar which you can see from the extra screw holes on the back of the headstock and larger tuning peg holes.
This neck was previously on a 1964 refinished Stratocaster body and it was a killer playing and feeling guitar. This neck is perfect for any Vinatge Stratocaster project/restoration from 1960-1962
